AB0391 THE IMPACT OF OBESITY ON LIPID PROFILE AND ATHEROGENIC INDEXES AMONG RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS ELDERLY PATIENTS

Background Obesity and dyslipidemia are two common comorbidities in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). They considered as important cardiovascular atherosclerosis risk factors RA. Objectives The aim of our study was to evaluate the impact obesity on lipid parameters well atherogenic indexes among RA elderly patients. Methods A cross-sectional conducted including patients followed for aged ≥ 65 years. All had measurements standard (total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoproteins (HDL), low-density (LDL), triglycerides (TG)) specific (Apolipoproteins (Apo) A1 B) parameters. We calculated TC/HDL LDL/HDL apoB/apoA1. Patients were divided according body mass index (BMI), into 2 groups: G1=obese with BMI 30 Kg/m² G2 non obese <30. Results included 63 (52 women 11 men). mean age 68.17±4.35 years [65-83]. median duration disease 27.97±5.44 kg/m2 [14.85-43.2]. Twenty-two (34.9%) (G1) 41 (65.1%) a < (G2). Mean levels Apo A1, B, TC, HDL, LDL TG 1.53±0.34 g/L, 1.1±0.29 4.91±1.03 mmol/L, 1.09±0.29 2.96±0.86 mmol/L 2.02±1.47 respectively. values TC/HDL, ApoB/ApoA1 4.77±1.59, 2.96±1.39 0.74±0.2 Comparing G1 G2, we found that changes profile significantly higher B (1.22±0.29 g/L vs. 1.04±0.27; p=0.018), TC (5.6±0.82 vs 4.2±1.07; p=0.008) (3.5±0.84 2.54±0.84; p=0.03). lower ApoA1 level noted (1.47±0.3 1.66±0.24; p=0.019). HDL (1.06±0.33 1.15±0.2), but without significant association (p=0.5). However, there no difference (p=0.9) (p=0.07), (p=0.1) (p=0.2).
